Biography of Bishop Richard E. Cox

Bishop Richard E. Cox has been a clergyman for sixty-two years.  He started preaching Jan. 9, 1961  at the age of 12 years old,. at United Baptist Church, Middletown, Ohio under Rev. James Holloman. He has served the African Methodist Episcopal church (AME) as pastor for twenty-five years, pastoring churches in Ohio, west Virginia, Western Pennsylvania and Northwest Florida. He was ordained and elected a Bishop in 2000 by First Bible Greater Outreach Church and Bible college with churches in Ohio, Florida, and Tennessee. Bishop Cox supervises pastors in the Ohio area.

He is a graduate of Wilberforce University with a BS in Sociology; He has a Master of Arts at Antioch University, MDIV at Payne Theological Seminary, DTS and PhD at First Bible College where he was the Chairman of the Board of Trustees.

Bishop Cox has won numerous Civil Rights cases . He has received numerous awards and certificates for his community involvement, some of which have been presented by National Organizations. He has spoken and preached throughout the United States, Japan, Bahamas, Korea, Beirut, Lebanon, and London, England.

Bishop Cox served on the Steering Committee of DDRR and is a training facilitator on Race Relations and is trained in the King philosophy of non-violence.

In 2006 he was inducted into the Local Civil Rights Hall of Fame at the 49th. National Convention held in Dayton, Ohio.

Bishop Cox was the President of the Dayton Chapter of SCLC( Southern Christian Leadership Conference) and SCLC National Board Member.

Biography of Rev. Gloria Wright-Cox

Native Sanduskian, began playing the piano at age 6. I began playing for the church at age 12.

Certified Public Housing Mgr. served Erie Metropolitan Housing Authority for 9Years

Served Second Baptist Church New London, Ohio from

1980 - 2001

Called & Licensed in the ministry : November 1992

Ordained: May 2000

2000 served as Interim Pastor - Second Baptist Church, New London, Oh, Pastor Rev. Lee C. Kent retired

2001 returned to New Jerusalem Baptist church, Sandusky, Ohio: served as musician until 2007 Pastor Rev. Eddy Henry

2007-2008 served as Music Director for College Hill Presbyterian Church, Dayton, Ohio Pastor Rev. Robert E. Jones

2008 – 2009 served as Music Director for Bethel AME church, Oxford, Ohio, Pastor Rev. Shane Floyd

2009-2010 served as Music Director for Bethel AME church, Oxford, Ohio, Pastor Angela Walker

Graduate of the Lucie Campbell Church Music Workshop- National Baptist Convention

Now serves as Sr. Pastor of the Parenthood Ministries, Dayton, Ohio and Creator/ Program director of the “Shooting For The Stars” afterschool program which served youth K-12 by Helping with Homework/tutoring in Math, Reading, Science, and Social Studies,&  Summer Enrichment. Program Site location 2050 Germantown St., Dayton Oh, which was discontinued 2014. 2009 Afratique Boutique creation to raise money for special projects .Due to the 2020 Covid-19 Pandemic, Virtual Ministry was created with Prayer, Praise,& Worship, Soulful Worship, Joyful Praise. Rooted & Grounded Bible Exploration & Prayer Call was also added.
